So, you have decided to visit Amsterdam, Venice of the North, and you bought your plane tickets. How exciting! You will be flying to one of Europe's major hubs – Amsterdam Schiphol. The airport is quite busy, but luckily spacious and easy to navigate, as there is only one Terminal, with good signage. After you land, for smooth travel onwards choose an airport transfer. The driver waits for you at the Arrivals Halls, and takes you straight to your destination.
After your flight has landed and you have collected your baggage, you proceed to the Arrival Hall, at level 0. You will meet the driver at Schiphol Plaza, the meeting point of the airport. He will be holding a sign with your name.
He will then escort you to the vehicle, and take you safely to your final destination. This service is also known as 'Meet & Greet'.
What is the difference between the two? Imagine all the benefits of having a pre scheduled ride: ready on time, fixed price, peace of mind. You have nothing to worry about on the day of travel. Even your payment is usually taken care of in advance, and your flight is monitored in case of any delays.
Unlike the local taxi, a transfer is a worry-free from the moment you step off your plane. No need to bother about waiting in lines, or having to watch out for the illegal taxi vehicles.
